They are printed in high resolution onto a high grade vehicle vinyl with UV resistant inks to give a really deep sharp print, then LAMINATED with a gloss finish laminate to protect from fuel,oil, scratching etc. 
Finally they are then cut to shape so you won't have the fiddly job if doing that yourself! All you have to do is peel off the backing sheet and stick on your car.
